GRCH King Pen's Kalifornia Ratitatt ("Kali") is an exceptional Rat Terrier that made the 2004 UKC Top Ten list in her first year of modest showing. In just 11 weekends of shows including 1 totaled SUV on the way to her first show (arriving by taxi), she won 27 Best of Breeds, typically followed by a group placement! Kali has been selected as the Rat Terrier "Cover Girl" for the AKC Foundation Stock Service breed listing. See the listing at http://www.akc.org/breeds/fss_breeds.cfm. Kali is planned to eventually be Ratitatt Rat Terrier's foundation female, purchased from King Pen Kennels. What a change from our 8 years with German Shorthaired Pointers - much less food, easier to care for, and our young children don't get knocked over! Rat Terriers really are a "large dog in a small dog body". Kali's favorite activities are hunting moles and burrowing under our blankets. She enjoys all of the attention she can get and loves to show!

For a limited nine weekends of showing, RaganRat Kennel is proud of GRCH RaganRat Bailey Boy for the #5 Top Ten position. "Bay-bay", as he is affectionately nick-named, was awarded 12 Best of Breed and 7 Group placements during 2004. The Button-Ear ambassador has represented the Rat Terrier breed and our kennel quite well for two years in the standings (2003 #4 / 2004 #5) and is now retired from the Top Ten competition. We are honored by all the judges who graciously rewarded Bailey for his good looks, conformation, superb movement and unforgettable __expression. Now, Bailey will be reclined in his easy-lounger, dawning sunglasses, sipping gravy cocktails, watching his progeny rise and shine!

Glory and praise goes to God for entrusting me with such a special dog as Bailey. When bad things happen, I try to believe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Bailey's dam was stolen and lost her life trying to return home. Due to my broken heart, I kept Bailey as a tribute. Good things can come from bad experiences and Bailey is such an example. Little did I know such a star would rise and shine. RaganRat Bailey Boy was born at our kennel November 1, 2000. At a young age, Bailey demonstrated his reasoning ability like no other pup I had owned. He taught me tricks with his imaginative mind. His antics put a smile on my face and a song back in my heart. Not only did this dog have smarts, but I'd find myself in a trance staring at his handsome physique. In the dog world, I suppose it could be said he is a dog's-dog (man's-man) with his gentle spirit and kind heart....a true, gentle man. Yet, he's serious when it comes to his work on the farm....a strong prey-driven fellow. Learning about rat terriers being shown, I knew Bailey deserved to be in the ring. He began his show career September 13, 2002 in Charlotte and Championed in Lexington, October 27, 2002. We intended to start slow. But, his show career has been like a locomotive. The more we campaigned, the more steam we gained from the encouragement of some special judges and friends. We pulled full-steam ahead. Bailey became a GRCH by taking BOB at the UKC Premier, June 15, 2003. Then, his final show of the year, we were so honored by Judge Dorothy Jacobs with Best In Multiple Breed Show (BIMBS). Bailey won (at least) one major win every weekend he was shown in 2003. Bailey loves to travel, which is a good thing, and seems to truly love the show ring. He loves bodies of water, whether he's wading, swimming or diving for frogs. His favorite toy is a tennis ball. His turn-on command: "find it" ; whether it's his toy (search and rescue) or a mouse (seek and kill). He is such a happy, well-mannered dog and a sheer pleasure to live with. Bailey is truly a blessing!

We are so proud and honored to announce that this year at Premier TREVOR WINS UKC's 2006 TOP TEN BEST OF BREED under Renee O'Donnell and continued on to be a TOP TEN SEMI-FINAL WINNER under Patrick O'Donnell. Trevor was 1 of 20 FINAL QUALIFIERS (Out of 487 outstanding Top Ten dogs) What an honor for Donna Sullivan/Four Paws (Trevor's Breeder) & River Ridge. Both kennels thank all the judges who recognized Trevor's excellence in 2006 & 2007.

Trevor was 3 years old when he took this honor and was the only dog in UKC's Finals with multiple performance titles. I am very proud of our 2006 accomplishments and Trevor has also proven himself in his offspring. To date he sired 12 puppies, 4 earned the honor of Grand Champion 3 Champions and 2 have earned a Best in Multi-Breed show. Two of his puppies were/are in UKC's Top Ten for 2007!

“PRINCE” Our Gift From The Lord. This awesome boy was born January 14th 2006 in the wee hours of the morning. When he was born Gary and Mason were yelling with excitement, telling me THERE HE IS!!! I being more on the serious side, said we don’t know what this pup is yet, it just barely was born. With Excitement in their voices and a sparkle in their eyes they insisted HE WAS PRINCE CASPIAN. Telling me they didn’t need to see if he was a boy, they KNOW he is a boy! Well guess what? It’s A BOY!!! And from the moment he stepped into our world he was Prince. The entire litter was known as the Narnia Kids. Prince Caspian was a special name Mason and Gary had chosen for that special boy from the Narnia books.

Prince, Our bred by boy that became a breeders dream come to true and beyond! He entered the show ring two days after his 6 month birthday taking two BOW. Then the following weekend taking 4 more BOW. A little over 7 months old he entered the ring as a new Champion. Prince picked up 3 legs towards his Grand a BOB, Group One and RBIMBS! The following weekend Prince got his last two legs towards his Grand Champion Title. At this same show he was moved up to the Grand Champion Class. He won 3 BOB’s, Group 1, Group 2 and a Group 3. He didn’t stop there! Prince went on the rest of the show season claiming a Total of 17 BOB, 7 Group Ones, 4 BIMBS and 4 RBIMBS, not to mention several Group 2’s and Group 3’s. Needless to say we were speechless! He earned his Top Ten Status From August 26th – November 26th 2006, three short months. What a Blessing and Honor!

Prince is a sweet loving boy, he loves to show, sleep in the covers, play fetch, eat out on our road trips. You know the Food for CHAMPIONS, chicken Mcnuggets, chicken tenders, french fries, lunchables and cheeseburgers, but above all else Prince Loves us. He has a special green king size blanket we take on our road trips and Prince knows its show time when he sees it out! He loves hunting and playing chase with other dogs. He has a huge heart, a gentle soul, and the desire to please! We Love You Prince!!!

Prince will be in the show ring in 2007, as we feel he has just begun. He has unbelievable structure and balance, his movement is effortless! We are grateful to the Honorable Judges that blessed us with Prince’s wins and saw what we see in him. We would to Thank UKC for the honor of participating in a family oriented fun Club. We are grateful to our Lord for gifting us with Prince and owe Him the Glory.

# 6 GRCH Tanaga Baileys Tru Obsession 109 viewsObie has been a truly wonderful little boy for me. He was just 2 years old during 2006 and this was his second time completing the year in the top 10. Obie is a homegrown pup of mine, mom is UFR GRCH Tanaga Mr X's Tuff Tinker and dad is GRCH RaganRat Bailey Boy. Obie is taking some time off in the next year but will be back out to show again in the future. He will be spending some time with his kennel friend October and with my husband and I for now.

What can I say about Cali? She is one of the sweetest dogs that GOD ever made, she is my best friend? YEP that and more. Cali started her show ring career in April, 2000. She attained her UKC Championship in September of that year as well. At the ripe old age of three years, Cali is still in the ring...looking for two more legs to complete her Grand Championship. When you meet Cali she'll just look at you with those big brown eyes...watch her wag her tail and you'll be smitten!
